This home in the heart of downtown Charleston has a beautiful interior design with stunning character features, but still lacked the storage space the homeowners needed. Like many homes located downtown, the home is a beauty but was small in space. To maintain a polished look, proper storage solutions to keep the everyday clutter away were needed.
Considering the kitchen is smaller than most, efficient storage for items and appliances was essential. They envisioned their new home to have an extremely functional kitchen with high-end features and finishes. The available storage space was narrow and compact and hard to utilize without upgrades. In addition to limited countertop space, the challenge was figuring out a design that would suit the organization requests of the homeowner and maintain a cohesive look throughout the home.
To meet the needs of the homeowners, Charleston Custom Cabinetry designed and installed new inset painted white oak cabinetry. Custom storage features include an appliance garage pantry with a microwave niche, a garbage pull-out drawer, a paneled ice machine, and hidden storage for dishes, dry goods, and glassware.
