A showstopping installation of Avocatus quartzite in a leathered finish, fabricated by Granite Depot of Charleston. This richly textured material was used on the countertop, the base of the island, and the backsplash, wrapping the entire bar in a cohesive and compelling natural stone. More than just beautiful, quartzite is also one of the most rigid and durable stones available, resistant to scratches, heat, and stains. These qualities make it a practical yet luxurious choice for an at-home entertaining space.

This project design doesn’t stop at stone. Framed by custom open shelving and warm metallic tones, the space also includes a striking personal detail: a portrait of the homeowners’ beloved dog, cleverly incorporated into the center of the bar’s back wall. It’s a stylish nod to the couple’s personality and a heartwarming conversation piece that perfectly complements the bold materials. “In-home bars have grown in popularity and are a serious conversation piece for homeowners who love to entertain,” says Melanie Richardson, Branch Manager at AGM Imports. “My favorite part of this project was seeing everything come together in the end and how happy the clients were with the finished project.
