Kate received her BA in Art History from Wake Forest University as well as a Masters’ Degree from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Following her graduation from Sotheby’s, Kate re-located to Charleston and began taking design classes at the Art Institute. After obtaining her BFA in Interior Design, Kate worked for several established interior design firms before she founded Kate Miles Interior Design in 2017.
Kate’s background in art history and decorative arts allows her to pull from several aspects of design which brings a fresh and energetic approach for all of her clients, no matter what their style. Kate enjoys working with her clients to discover their needs, both functional and aesthetic; ultimately creating an environment that is not only beautiful, but also inviting and comfortable.
