When we think of maintenance, the conversation often leads home. You know, repainting walls, refreshing interiors, and updating landscaping. But what about the care we commit to feeling our best? According to Blair Turnage, founder of B Aesthetics in Mount Pleasant, personal maintenance is as essential as maintaining your home.

Blair Turnage PA-C

Founder of B. Aesthetics Medical Spa

With over 15 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, Blair blends clinical expertise with a personal touch. “I want my patients to feel more informed and confident when they leave my office. It’s not just about the results, it’s about the journey to self-compassion,” she shares. Her path to aesthetics started at The College of Charleston, followed by her PA degree at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She spent the early part of her career in neurosurgery and emergency medicine, teaching residents and students while honing her understanding of human anatomy.

“I’ve always loved teaching and learning. It’s why I chose medicine in the first place. Aesthetics allowed me to combine my clinical skills with my passion for creating confidence,” she shares.

For Blair, aesthetics isn’t just about smoothing wrinkles or adding volume; it’s about helping people feel their best. “Every face tells a unique story, just like every home. My goal is to enhance what’s already there, not change who you are,” she says. Blair’s approach is deeply personal. As a mother of three and wife of over 14 years, she understands the importance of balance in life and work.

“I want my patients to feel comfortable and supported. It’s about more than just the outcome, it’s about building trust and confidence,” she adds.

Why Personal Maintenance Matters

Just as maintaining your home adds value over time, caring for yourself is an investment in your confidence and well-being. Blair believes that a bit of self-care can go a long way, helping you feel as good as you look. “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care,” she says, a mantra that guides her daily practice.

“B. Great, Feel Great, Look Great, Do Great.”
